I believe so but it wouldn't be automatic. You would set up the account and then make a separate call to make it the external account after it has been created

Initial guidance, couldn't find a path described like that clearly on the docs.

I see I can make External Account > Bank Account using any token, but how do i get this token from a SI checkout?

Yes all good, imma go grab a bite to eat anyway - appreciate it. https://stripe.com/docs/api/checkout/sessions/retrieve just couldn't work out how to get the required token from that response

I apologize, it looks like I was mistaken though we do have the Financial Connections API that can allow you to collect these details much more easily https://stripe.com/docs/financial-connections/fundamentals
