It seems that for all PIs in this state the user wasn't redirected back so we didn't proceed with the capture.
I'm trying to replicate this behaviour on our test env so we can handle it properly.

I don't think there's a way to replicate this behavior unfortunately. Most likely there was an issue with the issuers 3DS flow and the redirect might've failed.
Are you using confirmPayment method to handle confirmation?
I was just hoping you have a different test card that results in that state ๐
We are using Spreedly as gateway, so I'm not sure how they handle confirmation. We did get the webhook event after the PI was authorised. I think we need to handle it better then

I'll also contact Spreedly support because the transaction is still pending on their side, even though we added webhook and they got the payment_intent.amount_captured_updated event
yeah it'd be best to start there as they might be doing things somewhat differently ๐
