IMHO having a webhook to listen for successful payment intent is the correct approach. ACH Direct Debit is a reusable, delayed notification payment method. So it can take days to receive acknowledgement of their success or failure.

Good to know. It's not a problem. We're just curious why some are coming back immediately and others taking longer. Our assumption was that it might be due to some bank accounts already being authorized by Stripe before we use it.
