#NewtReyes - Refund in Payout
1 messages ยท Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Hi, @slim moat
Okay so the approach I would recommend would be to list the Balance transactions by Payout.
https://stripe.com/docs/api/balance_transactions/list
And examine the balance transaction records for which transactions they are related to
If you are starting from the Refund then you can find the balance transaction record iteself
txn_3LBiykDfcmTYbu9Y3oSyIwg9 in this case
But then yes you would need to still look through the payouts to determine which one included that transaction
@slim moat So, I have scanned all the balance transactions for all the payouts since this refund was issued and none of them seem to include it.
Since the refund was issued on June 17th from what I can see, can you think of any reason why it hasn't been included in any payouts yet?
Some of the payouts have been greater than the refund's amount.
Am I missing something silly?
Well payouts are just regularly scheduled and include all credits/debits that have occurred prior to the payout.
That's my understanding too
Correct me if wrong, but this refund should be a debit that should be included in one of the payouts that we receive, correct?
It should debit the account balance and reduce the amount of funds transferred ( since we are returning funds to the Customer)
All balance transactions impact the amount in the Stripe balance
all those transactions are "inlcuded" in that they contributed to the amount being paid out
So what you are seeing is a summary of the balance transactions associated with that payout
But in your approach with the API you are not finding a Payout with the above balance transaction?
but I am not seeing it
But in your approach with the API you are not finding a Payout with the above balance transaction?
I am not
Can you somehow double check that on your side>?
I searched for it both using the API and through the summary of all the payouts created since the refund was issued.
I haven't been able to see it included.
I can see plenty of information about the conversation with the bank for the refund, but how it links to a payout is still murky. Looking...
Thank you
Hi ๐ apologies for the delay while I'm getting caught up. Would you mind briefly summarizing the context here?
This looks like purely an account question
