Yup! Both are usable with setup intents

#

Another question: If a subscription goes back into a trial: how does this affect trial conversion metrics
This I'm not sure about. We don't really have a lot of expertise re. questions about the dashboard metrics. Support currently owns that topic cluster

We'll contact the team about metrics. Thanks

Back to the wallet stuff:

#

We're using both the Payment Element and the paymentRequestButton element. They both appear to support the setup intent, but it doesn't seem to work via the UI presented to the user.

#

The Payment Element shows docs about another step?

#

The paymentRequestButton element tries to request a payment. Maybe I'm doing something wrong here as the docs are VERY limited.

Hmmm, that's a good question. Let's start with the Payment Element. So when you select Google Pay from the Payment Element, does it give the option to proceed? Can you click "pay" or something similar to advance the process?

Not from the payment element itself, no.

Hmmm, i haven't coded a Payment Element integration in a long time, so let me see if I can repro on my end and offer a resolution. Would you be able to start a support thread and mention my name two-shoes so I can pick it up and respond?

Support thread via email/chat? I'm not quite sure what you mean.

azure sedge

Just let me know when you do and I can pick it up

It looks l like I was able to get the paymentRequestButton to work

azure sedge

Oh?

I had a problem on my end there.
