Credit cards don't require mandates so you don't need to create one here. Mandates are mostly for bank account payment methods, if you use those with SetupIntents a mandate will be created. Will you be using bank accounts as well or just credit cards?

OK cool @charred idol . There was some confusion on our part. Really appreciate the help. We'll revisit the issue if/when we start accepting bank accounts. Thanks for your time
