Yup, it's the game's mechanics, but consider it as just new map = new progress (similar to genshin) it's their way of balancing resources, damage, and make new people/friends who join be able to catch up on new scenarios/seasons

like for example, if we all start in new season, we all start in even playing field, no one is too advanced
