#Which, if any, of these abilities affect the damage of Threshing Maw on the Hellraker?

Threshing Maw states that enemies receive an "unboostable POW12 melee damage roll."

Redline states a model gains +2 to "melee attack damage rolls."

Synergy gives a cumulative bonus to "melee damage rolls".

Gang Fight states a model gains +2 to "melee damage rolls".

It feels like all three should increase the damage of Threshing Maw, but there has been discussion that Redline specifically will not, as Threshing Maw is a melee damage roll but not a melee attack damage roll. Is there an actual difference between these two terms?

Threshing Maw is not an attack.

  1. Redline would not affect it because while they are melee damage rolls, they are not melee attack damage rolls, which are damage rolls made from an attack.

  2. Synergy would apply the bonus to the melee damage rolls but would also not contribute to the counter for Synergy as the Threshing Maw rolls are not from an attack.

  3. Threshing Maw is not an attack, it cannot gain Gang Fighter.

@olive kraken wouldn't gang fighter work cause it dosent say melee attack damage rolls ? It only says attack on the hitting part not the damage part?

Like redline says Melee attack damage rolls but gang fighter just says damage rolls

Starts with "When making a melee attack" which Threshing Maw isn't.
