#Hit The Deck vs Primed

Hit the Deck refers to being hit with an AoE, but abilities such as Primed simply cause models to suffer Blast Damage. Does Hit The Deck interact in any way with such rules?

It feels like it's meant to, but auto damaging blast damage doesn't 'hit' in the standard sense. Also I know Hit The Deck has been ruled on many times for it's, shall we say, intricacies, so there's perhaps an existing ruling I'm unaware of (I did search these forums to no avail).

Since Primmed is not an AOE there is no interaction between Primmed and Hit the Deck.
