If a model casts Spirit Door while within 3" of a model with Arcane Negation, choosing itself as the model to be placed in 2" of a battlegroup model, and the other model is outside of the range of Arcane Negation, is the caster considered to be the "target" of the spell?
If so, can the spell be cancelled using Arcane Negation, or does the spell not target a model, so therefore cannot be negated with Arcane Negation?

The spell does say choose and its been stated before that choosing is not targetting

I agree, and thats how we played it, but it's generating a bit of momentum in the local scene.
Also, my search-fu is weak, so if you can't point me in the direction of the prior statement that would be amazing.
