#Can a model be pushed/slammed/thrown off an obstruction?

Question is the title.

If a middle is on top of an obstruction because of a ladder, elevator, or flying can it be moved via a push, slam, or throw?

All three of those rules say that the model would stop if it's base contacts and obstruction and I could not find an exception to this in the rulebook. If there is an exception that lets you throw a model off an obstruction, what page is it on?

Being on top of obstructions puts you in a very corner cash area of the rules. This is a great example of why you should discuss the terrain with your opponent before a game and resolve any issues with a TO before you start.

In general though, yes you can be pushed, slamed, or thrown off an obstruction and this rule would then apply.

While I want this to be the case (because it's hilarious) I don't see how it works specifically with obstructions. Other terrain like hills it makes total sense.

I guess the main question here is when does a model contact an obstruction when it's standing on top of it? Does it ever? Why/why not?

I think the concept of "contacting an obstruction" is supposed to be applied when a model's base touches an obstruction laterally - bumps into it, as it were. I don't think it's supposed to be the same kind of "contacts" as "is standing on top of" which is how model/model overlap is treated.

I was trying to figure that part out. I think this is just a hole in the rules because my reading of this is that standing on top of an obstruction you are contacting it

Yeah, when it comes to model/model contact, there is little room for interpretation and the rules are very cut and dry.

Unfortunately, Warmachine core rules have always been a little loosey-goosey when it comes to the 3D terrain elements - partly, I think, due to (historically) low interest in building complex 3D tables and partly, I think, due to the concession that no two tables are going to be identical in what kind of 3D terrain they may be using, so player coordination will be necessary to iron out the kinks and avoiding any ungainly assumptions.

That's basically my reading of the rules

Would the slam damage be boosted by the contact with the ground after the fall? I doubt it, RAW, but I feel like it would make sense.
