Hello! I’m a new player, got into the game through a demo at Adepticon and I just picked up a bunch of Dusk boxes. Looking ahead at what to expand into, I’ve become fascinated with the void engines. The necromancy recursion is very interesting to me. I had some questions on how the void engine works:

  1. The void engines replace disabled soulless models with wights. Disabled is when a model has a point of damage allocated to its final health box, right?

Hazoreth has an ability to spend 1 focus to remove a point of damage when a unit becomes disabled, saving it from death.

Could I use the void engines ability to add the wight model and then use Hazoreths ability to remove the point of damage, keeping the original model? That doesn’t seem right but I don’t know the ruling that would stop that.

  1. The wording of “replace” on the void engines ability makes it seem like the model that is disabled is removed from the game for the rest of the match. Is this true? Or could I resurrect the model later? If I can resurrect the model later, could I do so while the wight is still in play or do I need to wait for the wight to die?

  1. invocations does not work on soulless models so this interaction isn't possible. if it were possible the model being removed from the table to create the wight would mean there is no model to remove a damage from.

  2. "removed from play" is the key phrase for a model that cannot be returned to play through revive or other methods. void induction does not do this so the soulless model can be revived, even while the wight is still around.
