AoD is represented by a cloud effect template, which grants cover to a model within it. A model with Prowl gains stealth if it is in concealment, which would be normally be granted by a "generic" cloud effect template that a model is completely within.

  1. Does being in the cloud effect that represents AoD trigger Prowl's stealth benefit?

  2. If so, does the model have to be completely within the cloud in order to get it?

I've gotten mixed answers, and all seem to lean toward yes, it does trigger. But I haven't been able to find it anywhere else having been addressed. Thanks!

With it specifying cloud effect and that being defined by the following photo, I'd rule it as a "yes it procs prowl" in any event I'd run. Since it's a cloud effect it grants concealment in addition to the cover granted by the spell. I suppose others more official than I would have to weigh in as to this being the intent

I'd say the same.

A model can have both Cover and Concealment - Rubble with Burning Earth added is easy enough - it just doesn't benefit from the DEF bonus from both.

By virtue of being a cloud template, Artifice grants Concealment. By virtue of its text, it also grants Cover.

A model with Prowl would then gain Stealth and benefit from +4 DEF from Cover.
