#Squads where each member is a Jack Marshal

When you have a squad like The Rowdies, where each named individual is a Jack Marshal, is the squad collectively one jack marshal, or does each individual get to marshal a jack?

As In:

If Each Individual Marshals a Jack:
Dalton starts the game marshalling a cheap jack. On turn 2, you use Large Airdrops assign a jack to Franks and Jenkins, respectively. The next turn, your opponent smashes Dalton's jack and kills Jenkins, so Dalton spends his turn taking control of the now-autonomous Jack formerly controlled by the dead Jenkins.

Or

If the Squad is Collectively one Jack Marshal:

The Squad gets a Jack from a large airdrop. They can't marshal any more Jacks now, since each marshal can only control one. If any squad member dies, the jack is still getting marshal benefits because the squad is still on the table. If any member of the squad is within 8" of the jack, it still gets its marshal benefits.

The Jack Marshal rule is a model advantage, so my understanding would be that they can each marshal one jack.

the airdrop says you can airdrop a light on a model/unit with jackmarshal that is not already controlling one, so my guess would be that it's limited to 1 per unit, even if every model in that unit has jackmarshal

oh good point

Checking
Because way I read it each model could control one but the air drop also has contradiction to that

You will be able to. We are enabling things rather piecemeal at the moment. I expect we will have it better sorted by Adepticon

Apologies for bringing this thread back to life, but I was wondering about this. If the squad is collectively one marshall, is the range of the 'run/charge for free' effect measured from any member of the unit? Or do you have to pick one person to be the 'primary' marshall? If so, does that transfer automatically to the next squad member on death? Does a Drive apply only if the Drive model is the 'primary' marshall, or just if they're alive in the squad?

The whole unit counts as commanding the Jack, so any member for measurement.

Same for Drives, unless the rule is specifically on One model, like the UA.

Okay, but in the case of a Drive on a UA, I can measure from a Ranger and still get the Drive?

For the Rangers UA no, the Jack has to be withing 10" of this model
