While playing there are often buildings that do not fall under Guard Tower or Bunker, just a typical building, I'm sometimes very annoyed by those, but they do not have stats, how much ARM and health would a typical building (house or some ruins) have? Can those actually be destroyed? What happens with them then?

Normally unless you have decided beforehand otherwise buildings do not have HP or Arm and are indestructible obstructions

Yeah, that'd be a "house rules" thing (no pun intended).

If you can dig up a copy of the old Warmachine/Hordes Prime Mk2 rules, it had some suggestions/guidelines for destructive terrain.

Ok, so I'd assume rules about destroying buildings are regarding buildings that have stat cards in the app only?

#

Shame :/

Currently, yes.

If that's something you are interested in please do it. The terrain rules are there for you to play around with and find what works for you. I'd recommend starting with the existing rules for the guardhouse (minus the occupying if that wouldnt apply) and maybe consider the destroyed house as a piece of rubble terrain after it has been destroyed

100% if every player is into it go for it.

I would put a standard wood house at arm 16, 25 boxes? Anything stone or reinforced ARM 18 and increase the health based on the size of the object from there?

Not speaking as a dev/infernal here just for fun.

Got it!

I can't remember who I swiped this from, but I am a fan of these rules for buildings 🙂

Oh, lol, that was me! I literally wrote that right before the mk4 announcement

#

IIRC I basically bounced late night ramblings off locals, then turned the feedback into that card

#

Looked back at the local chat, August 16th, 2022! Someone dropped the winter korp core army starter solicitation in the chat that day

#

So I guess we knew mk4 was coming then

#

I never thought anyone got around to using it. We certainly didn't

Like the card design and rules a lot. But just a single HP for the whole thing?

Yep, but with steady tough and only able to be damaged by power attacks and AOEs. My reasoning at the time was any stucco house that takes a bombard or a rampaging warjack probably deserves to be considered rubble at that point, but we limited the types of things that would damage it also to present an action economy tax to destroying it

#

Bombard would probably be the most offhand way to destroy it, but a cohort rampaging through it or WWE smashing another thing through the table house should also have a chance. This was designed with template blasts in mind, so these days it'd probably act like a 120mm against AOEs as well

#

I probably still have the photoshop project somewhere

#

Probably also add targetable in some way, as that has rules precedent now and might clear up some of the wording I was trying to do there

Not to spark-up the old topic here, but I feel this is where it best fits; I can figure out a happy improvisation for this, but does anyone have anything OFFICIAL on the HP of the Old Umbrey chapel and tower? Maybe even some obscure notes?

Using it as an indestructible piece of terrain makes for great tactical use and is much easier, but compared to the bunker, it's hard to justify why a chapel is indestructible, but not a bunker (unless you want to bring God into it, which kinda works, I guess LOL).

Instead, I'm thinking giving it HP somewhere between the bunker and guard tower (maybe on the higher end of that), but I'd like to know if there's anything official out there first.

There are no official rules for it; it's just a repurposed 3rd party sculpt included as part of the Warmachine 3D subscription.
