#Buck Hasker minefield vs unit movment
23 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
The first model moving and all models placed are simultaneous.
Ok so effect is when all models" moved" Thanks
So a model moving through the minefield is not KD at the edge of the minefield where it enters but possibly far away from it on the other side where the movement ends?
I'm not sure that's the intention
If only one model run through mine another are placed more then 3 from marker effect are applied to only one model(that enter)
To apply effect models should be in AoE from marker
If one model from unit is within range of two tokens, both tokens triggerss simultaneously?
dmg from Feat are magical right?
I asked about this in a separate thread https://discord.com/channels/836950369791377408/1342032484350689300
Wouldn't this be relevant though?
The leading model takes the POW 14 and dies before the rest are placed, so the controlling player gets to select another model to make that leading move.
Is it also applying to charges?
I think the precedence for this ruling was the ruling on unit movement vs admonition and, surprisingly, defensive strike.
In that situation, the leading model complete it's movement and remaining models get placed before admonition and defensive strike takes place.
Yeah I believe an answer was given to a different question that was asked
Is this new ruling applied to Spike trap and other aoe hazard also? So only moving model takes damage after moving, if other models are placed outside of spike trap/hazard area?
What I mean and what was the first question of topic. When is damage+other effects resolved from Hasker feat and other hazards when moving units?
- Model from unit moves, enters hazard/Hasker feat
a) Resolve damage and effects when that model enters area (so during its movement)
b) Resolve damage and effects after model has completed its movement and placed other models of the unit
So far I've played so that a) is correct answer
i believe A) is the correct answer i nregards to both minefield and spike traps, the model has to survive to be able to place the unit at the end of movement, and the mine and spike trap trigger during movement
i think i get why admonition and defensive strike is different from this.
both abilities' triggers have a "at end of movement" clause whereas for Buck Hasker's minefield feat, it triggers upon entry amongst other things.
it's really looking this way unless an infernal overrides it for intent.
Yes, I answered the question differently than what was asked. I am sorry for the confusion.
The model that enters will take the check before the others have placed because it hasn't completed the movement yet. If that model dies, you will pick another model in the unit to move.
Wasn't this reinterpreted as part of the discussion about Defensive Strike, that there is no time for anything to happen between the first model ending its movement and the others being placed?
This isn't the same as Defensive Strike, because Defensive Strike requires you to finish your movement first before the trigger happens.
Defensive strike says and and buck feat says or
Hence when unit is moving if the moving model starts in the area he is safe from Defensive Strike (because it didn't move into and end activation) and in Huskers feat the moving model isn't safe. (Just ending activation is enough)
