Basically as the title reads. As Scenario Terrain is not an Objective, I see nothing speaking against it.
Also, where do I find the rules on Defense Placement? My search-fu in the app did not lead me to it… 😅

The rules for defense placement are on the Defenses command card.

The text talks about becoming scenario terrain piece. Then it mentions once "objective terrain piece" which isn't used anywhere else. Everywhere else it is just "scenario terrain". That one mention feels like a leftover from SR2024

IIRC it was mentioned by @steep salmon that it was intentional to no longer call them "objective terrain" so they are not "objectives" and therefore don't restrict Defense placement
