The ranged attack occurs before the Combat Action, and is not an initial attack. As such, it will not "count against" the weapon's ROF.

When looking at the assault rules it allows you to make a ranged attack before your combat action. This should mean that it ignores your ROF because ROF is only counted during your combat actions is this correct?
