Black Bella has "killing spree";

Killing spree is worded: - "When this model destroys one or more enemy models with a melee attack during its combat action, after that attack is resolved this model can advance up to 1" and make one additional melee attack.

Take up is worded:- "If this model is destroyed, you can chose a trooper in this unit within 1" of it to be destroyed instead. Remove that trooper from the table instead of this model. This model has the same number of unmarked damage boxes as the the chosen trooper".

Is it correct that Take up would not stop Black Bella using killing spree because of the attack timing sequence (12 and 13 I think)?

The model "destroyed instead" is destroyed by Take Up, so it will effectively stop Killing Spree, Berserk, and other abilities that trigger on the attacker destroying a model.

So it is Step 8G that is the interaction?

Take Up triggers and is resolved at Step 10D. Killing Spree would trigger at 10D but would not resolve until Step 14, at which point you retroactively consider whether the ability is still triggered, which it no longer is.

At step 10D, Take Up triggers and removes the Killing Spree trigger (and other triggers that would occur from a model destroying another), preventing the additional attack and move.

So how does active player / inactive player interact with 10D?
