Here is the text of Momentum from the Pyg Cannon Crew:
Here is the text of Explosive Decomposition from the Corpse Crawler:
Here is the controlling rules text that tells you what happens when a model is Slammed:
Here is the relevant portion of the rules from Appendix 1: Timing:
Momentum resolves in step 7 of the timing chart because it is an effect triggered by hitting or missing, and does not resolve elsewhere.
Momentum slams the model. "Slammed" tells us exactly what to do when a model is slammed: move the model, and then it becomes knocked down.
Explosive Decomposition triggers when the Corpse Crawler becomes knocked down.
Therefore, Explosive Decomposition resolves in step 7 as well.
Step 8 is when all damage rolls from the attack are resolved. The Corpse Crawler is no longer present in Step 8, because it was Removed from Play as part of resolving Explosive Decomposition in Step 7. Any models that might suffer collateral damage as a result of the Corpse Crawler being slammed will go through the remaining steps of the Attack Main Sequence, but the Corpse Crawler and its POW 12 corrosion damage roll have already been resolved by this point.
So: the Corpse Crawler never reaches the point in the Attack Main Sequence at which it suffers the damage roll from the Pyg Cannon Crew's attack, because it is removed from play by its own rule prior to that happening.
Summoning @lyric egret (or DarkLegacy or Loren; honestly not sure how either of you feel about being tagged in rules questions, so erring on the side of caution) for confirmation.
The explosion would occur before the damage roll from the attack
