Total War clarification

In the core rules, it states that the Total War game mode allows you and your oppenent to each take 1-3 huge based models for free. I'm a bit confused by this as I was recently told by someone that the game mode doesn't allow that anymore and instead just requires a colossal or gargantuan be in the list. This is also how the list builder seems to function as well since it gives an error saying just that and there is no option to mark a model as being free for the game mode.

Was this a change that was made and not reflected in the core rules or is this just a limitation of the list builder?

Last I checked it was just a limitation of the list builder.

I thought the definition of Total War changed in January to be a format requiring Huge based models since the price difference for huge based models could make the format too swingy.

Yeah, was talking to some guys a few weeks ago and one of them mentioned it as it's listed in the rules, but the other mentioned that the January update changed it. But the update PDF was already taken down from the PP site, so I couldn't check and I would have imagined the Core Rules would have been updated to reflect the change

Looks like the change didn't carry over into the app correctly. I will mark it for a change in the near future
