Hi!
I bought NSX with DLC yesterday to try to use the full set of features of my DualSense, specially in sim racing.
Using the DualSense Emulation, the rumble and addaptive triggers passthoughs started working only after a few tries enabling and disabling the passthroughs. So far so good.
I then tried to use to Motion feature to simulate steering with gyro using the "Motion to Left Joystick". It worked without any extra configs but I encounter a weird behavior. After tilting the DualSense to turn, at first the car steering reacted rather nicely but when I stopped the turning motion and kept it in a turned position (for a longer track turn, for exemple) it returned to center right away ignoring the controller's position. As if the Motion feature is only using the accelerometer data and not the gyroscope's?
Is this behavior a config error from my part? I understang this is a rather new feature so I'm guessing there's development to be done, right?

Wheel-like Gyro to Stick has yet to be implemented, there's groundwork done already but it needs to get a UI and imo a few more granular toggles & options.
Main one will be to get a neutral centered Yaw position to act as a reference point. Currently its reference point is kinda continuously reset hence the behavior you observed.
Imo, it would also need granular individual accelerometer axis toggles for it to be really appreciable but just the fixed reference point is all that's really needed for the desired core mechanic to be usable.

Thank you for the explanation GastroBot. Glad to know the feature implementantion is in the pipeline! Meanwhile, I gather there's no way to mix the steam imput gyro feature with NSX, right?
There was a user who posted a kinda "tricky" (not really, just cumbersome) workaround to use both not so long ago

I haven't tested it though so hopefully it actually works, I doubt that user would have bothered to write it if it didn't though, so I guess it does 😉

Just know, playing Assetto Corsa Competizione, I made the steam input gyro (Gyro To Joystick Deflection mode) work together with DSX (Virtual Device Native Mode) using also the Race Element addaptive triggers mod. THE BEST TIME DRIVING A CAR WITH A CONTROLLER EVER!!!!!!!!!
+1'ing this. I don't play racing games, but my general preference is to map rolling the controller to left-right. With the right sensitivity curve you can make a 75 degree tilt spin 180 in most games without sacrificing accuracy on lower degree tilts.
