I actually just got a new pair of earbuds and noticed this exact behavior. When I would take them off, if the game was still open, as the buds deactivated they'd have Steam take an absurd number of screenshots all at once. I fully removed them from my Bluetooth and re-added them and that seems to have resolved it. Maybe it's something similar in your case?

The thing is, it happens when I fully disconnect my bluetooth adapter (a small usb, like a dongle) from my pc.

It might be something to do with the virtual device created by emulating a different controller triggering the same kind of connect/disconnect weirdness in Steam? I'm just taking shots in the dark here, but that seems possible

Found a solve online, it was good at the beginning, just turned out it's not working.
I'm sure it has something to do with the Steam controller thing but I can't figure it out
