It is for Sim. In RB you're just getting fucked by IR missiles constantly and faster attack aircraft just steal your bases.
In Sim mode, you're at the top of the tier bracket (7.0 - 8.0) and you can comfortably fly and farm the enemy Airfields. Most Jets will engage you with guns so if you got decent speed you can outrun them

The closest to those you’ll get are 9G/H/L/M

Best premium for that would probably be the F-20. Given it can carry 6x9Ls

And you’re a sim player too.

I feel like the F20 is measurably a better plane in sim.

More fair matchups and less “gamey” mechanics means you actually have a chance at playing and getting kills.

So, I am still trying to completely understand radars in WT and, while test flying the F-14 IRIAF, I started wondering about something.

What's the point of having a missile like the Sedjeel, with a range of roughly 105km, if your radar can't get a proper firing solution past 16km more or less depending on conditions?
How am I supposed to use my missiles to their advantage if the radar keeps limiting me?

Radars are sorta scaled down in war thunder as well. And it’s fine because the maps aren’t full real scale.
