where the overall goal is to take over over or liberate a bunch of planets

If you have all those it’s kind of a tough pick because the rest of them have only a handful of decent picks imo. Freedom’s Flame for the Cookout and Torcher aren’t bad. You could also get Viper Commandos for experimental infusion and the drip lol

I’ve been having fun with Torcher in bugs, it’s good for emergency crowd clear when your primary runs out. Just need to be careful shooting it one handed near teammates. When your diver switches hands when running away, it’ll flag anyone in front of you

Cutting edge has stuns, sickle, punisher plasma, and blitzer, which are all still great. The dagger (laser pistol) is actually pretty decent now too, makes great offhand for the explosive weapons with limited ammo (crossbow, eruptor, plasma punisher)

I'd say yes. Ive put in ~230 hrs and most of that was within the first two months. You could not pull me from this game. However i get on and do 1 or two runs every now and then to keep up with the "story" that is still going. Its a very fun shooter and with the latest pass on weapons rebalances it definitely brought the fun back that the nerfs took a while ago. Id say go for it. If you need a buddy to run some stuff with you to get ya started let me know, i like running lower level missions anyway 🤣

Buddy of mine does a lot of 3d print builds, he will always go weld over glue where possible

Plastic isn't just plastic. You can solvent weld certain plastics, which is what Grizzills might be familiar with, but that's likely an acrylic glue. Lots of 3D print plastics aren't able to be solvent welded, though, so melting them together like that is one way to go. Another fun one is that you can actually DIY friction stir weld FDM plastics with filament and a dremel.

Idk where to make real suggestions to the devs but I want to see how ya'll feel about what I have to say first. I want to suggest a small update to the Eagle that will also buff the re arm hangar upgrade option and make it actually helpful. I want to get rid of the strafing run as selectable strategem and make it so that when you run out of the primary ordinance like the bombs, napalm, 500 kg etc. you get the option to call in 2 strafing runs or just send it back to rearm and it would be a faster rearm if you hadn't used any of the strafing runs.

A lot of weapon changes in the patch notes tho, smgs are getting big accuracy buffs but also damage fall off nerfs
