Hey there, looking to learn 3rd ed and start playing regularly. Any clubs or folks interested?

I live about 20 minute east of Nottingham although I usually play in Derby, would like to play a bit more locally though. Warhammer world was good to play a few years ago but a lot of my armies are 3d printed and custom bits so I'm a bit more careful about playing there now. Underworld games is near the train station, they're mainly a cardgame/ttrpg space but they have some 6 by 4 tables I've been meaning to check out.
I'm relatively new to 3rd edition myself

I play at Boards and Swords on Jubilee Business park but im the other side of Nottingham from you. Would make sense to meet in the middle.
Do you have any particular day/time that you want to play? Thursday and Friday are best for me due to other commitments, I finish work at 4 on Fridays so can make an earlier time. Also weekends but that will need a bit more notice and planning

Underworld has 6 × 4 tables available, looks good for you in West Bridgeford and its less of a drive for me too. Location and next years opening times in the pics.
What about availability for you? Mondays and Wednesdays I'm not available at all, Thursdays and Fridays are best.

Anyone want to pencil something in for the 9th or 16th of January?

What armies do people do? I've got 2.5k of blackshields and am building Thousand Sons. TS are my fave legion/army but I built the blackshields first to get some experience.

First game done, silver blackshields lost to red blackshields 18 - 22 I believe. Lots of terrain and awkwardly placed objectives made for an interesting game. Lascannons did almost nothing while a lucky combi-melta took out a predator. A preator, centurion and command squad bullied their way through 10 indomitus terminators while a sicaran omega blasted my autocannons and tactical squads away to nothing.
