Ok I’m going to play a few games of 1K on Saturday. I’m not yet sure if I’ll run Mechanicum but here are the lists I’m looking at.
Option 1: Oops all bots

++ Crusade Force Organization Chart ++ [1000 Point(s), 2 Auxilary Detachment(s)]

Allegiance: Traitor

++ Crusade Primary Detachment ++ [355 Point(s)]

High Command [200 Point(s)]
Archmagos on Abeyant [200 Point(s)]: Cybernetica, Cortex controller, Cognis-signum, Rad furnace, Overcharge Reactors, Chainaxe, Bolt pistol, Arcana Benefice, Frag grenades, High Command Detachment Choice (One Apex Detachment)
Command [155 Point(s)]
Magos [155 Point(s)]: Cybernetica, Cortex controller, Augury scanner, Cognis-signum, Servo-arm, Overcharge Reactors, Chainaxe, Bolt pistol, Arcana Benefice, Frag grenades, Prime Unit (Paragon of Battle)

++ Auxiliary - Combat Pioneer ++ [90 Point(s), 1 Auxilary Detachment(s)]

Recon [90 Point(s)]
Vorax Attack Maniple [90 Point(s)]: Cybernetica, Pair of power blades, Twin rotor cannon

  • 2x Vorax [45 Point(s)]: Lightning gun
    Auxiliary Detachment [1 Auxilary Detachment(s)]
    Auxilary Detachment [1 Auxilary Detachment(s)]

++ Auxiliary - Shock Assault ++ [130 Point(s), 1 Auxilary Detachment(s)]

Heavy Assault [130 Point(s)]
Castellax Destructor Maniple [130 Point(s)]: Cybernetica

  • 2x Castellax [65 Point(s)]: Shock chargers, 2x Bolter, Darkfire cannon
    Auxiliary Detachment [1 Auxilary Detachment(s)]
    Auxilary Detachment [1 Auxilary Detachment(s)]

++ Apex - Command Maniple ++ [425 Point(s)]

Elites [200 Point(s)]
Domitar Battle Maniple [200 Point(s)]: Cybernetica, Cyclone missile launcher, Graviton hammers, Domitar fists

  • 2x Domitar [100 Point(s)]
    Prime Unit (Paragon of Metal)
    War-engine [225 Point(s)]
    Thanatar Siege Maniple [225 Point(s)]: Cybernetica, Shock chargers, Twin mauler bolt cannon
  • 1x Thanatar
    Cavas Configuration (Plasma mortar), Prime Unit (Paragon of Metal)

The Thanatar babysits the home objective. (potentially) and chucks balls of plasma around.
The Abeyent will go with the Vorax to make use of the furnace, though I’m open to getting rid of that for an irad-cleanser on the Vorax.
The Magos will go with the Castellax to survive in the middle and hand out the Signum for the Thanatar.

The Thallax will most likely deep strike just because.
Tech-Priest and friends to sit on an objective, the Cybernetica Magos will tag along with the big one and the Myrmidax Magos will hang out with his buddies. I fully intend to roast some marine in a challenge.

Archmagos with the Castellax, Myrmidax with Myrmidons. Same usual plan, plasma to stand back, Castellax to be annoying and Myrmidons to be a threat

Not sure how much I'm liking the first list. Only two sources of cybetheurgy but 4 units that can take it isn't the best

solar roost
#

Yeah, that sure is a downside of the list. I'd most likely use it on the plasma guy in the first round from the Magos with the Castellax, afterwards on the Castellax themselves. The Archmagos would buff the Domitar for as long as possible and otherwise himself

gusty kettle
#

I think 2nd or 3rd options will be the best options

#

In general how competitive are your locals?

solar roost
#

And they are not so annoyingly tough

#

I... have no idea. Its the first games for everyone, someone is just starting out with Salamanders, the two others attending are veteran players with WE and WB respectively. Mechanicum has a bad rep with my local group, because one player liked to go heavily into mortars and myrmidons

gusty kettle
#

In that case I'd go for the 2nd list

#

Although I would still change some things

#

Swap paragon of battle for combat veterans on your magos

#

The increased intelligence is gonna be more useful for him

#

If he's in melee, then that's for the secutors to deal with

#

I'd try to take one of the lacyraemarta cybetheurgies if possible

solar roost
#

Ohhh right, normal Magos' are "just" IN 9. Hmm

gusty kettle
#

Tech thralls are expensive so you gotta make sure you can do the resurrection nonsense to make them worth it

solar roost
#

Resurrection is not a cybertheurgy, that comes with the Lacrymaerta in-built

gusty kettle
#

Oh it is

#

Cool

#

Well uhhhh

#

If the magos is gonna stick with the myrmidons then he doesn't need a cortex controller

solar roost
#

The myrmidax one shouldn't have one. The Cybernetica guy has it for the Thanatar

gusty kettle
#

Ahh ok, missed that

solar roost
#

All good. The lists have been reworked so often that could have easily happened 😄
