The Fabricator’s Forge in Pittsburgh, PA will be hosting a 3-day Betrayal at Isstvan (Drop Site Massacre) weekend on Friday, May 16th - Sunday, May 18th. There will be plenty of individual events happening that weekend (ZM, 3K, Mixed Doubles, Apoc, etc).

We have started preparations (printing terrain for Isstvan, organizing sessions, creating a web page, etc.). Next month I’ll begin providing emailed updates to people that register for more information through the event’s website. There is no cost or obligation to register for more information. Event tickets are not for sale yet and will be announced in advance.

The Fabricator’s Forge in Pittsburgh, PA, is thrilled to host a three-day Horus Heresy gaming extravaganza from Friday, May 16th, to Sunday, May 18th, 2025. This event will immerse players in one of the most iconic moments of the Horus Heresy: the Drop Site Massacre on Isstvan V.

This legendary betrayal saw the loyalist legions crushed under treachery and relentless bombardment, and this weekend's events will recreate the tension, drama, and carnage of that dark chapter in galactic history.

The weekend promises something for everyone: On Friday, players can test their skills in Zone Mortalis (set in the desperate corridors of doomed loyalist vessels) and Centurion battles (fought over strategically important objectives); On Saturday, command your forces in massive 3,000-point battles in the Age of Darkness, the strategic clashes of Legions Imperialis, or the grand-scale chaos of late night Apocalypse; Finally, on Sunday, fight your way to freedom in the thrilling Mixed Doubles: Escape from Isstvan.

Only named characters and Primarchs present at Isstvan V are allowed, but you are welcome to bring any army to the battlefield—Dark Angels, Prosperine Spireguard, and more are all welcome to fight for their chosen side. Event-specific details are forthcoming.

Themed terrain projects are already underway (see attachments) to bring the Urgall Depression to life, including a towering volcano, wrecked Contemptor Dreadnoughts (symbolizing the shattered loyalist forces), and ancient xenos ruins. If you'd like to contribute to the terrain or event preparations, please don't hesitate to reach out—we’d love your help!

We’ve compiled a quick 1-page FAQ to answer common questions and clarify game expectations. A few quick additional notes:
While you DO need to use the same List/Faction for each round of an event, you CAN switch faction/allegiances between events.
Only Primarchs and named unique characters that were at Isstvan V can be used at this event. Although any/all factions are welcome!
The 1-page FAQ will be in effect for all of the Main track Horus Heresy Events.
