I’m a mechanicum player already and I want to dip my toes into Raven guard, so I put together this list, im trying to get as much of the legion bonus out of the thallax and Vorax as possible and then the Domitar and Thanatar are there for backup.

Any advice would be wonderful and i would appreciate any tips for getting further into Raven Guard. <@&877303985156030484>

The idea is to deep strike the praetor with the deliverers

I would recommend taking a different rite to Brethren of Iron. Maybe Decapitation Strike, then taking the Thanatar in an allied detachment. RG are Sworn Brothers with the Mechanicum and can join each other’s units and use abilities on each other. Taking Decapitation Strike will also grant the PE IC and 5+ shroud to the Vorax and Thallax

#

I take an allied detachment with a jetpack magos with thallax to help block enemy infiltrators and provide vox silence to make it easier for my snipers to pin things

Decapitation strike does seem like the better choice

So I could always take Castellax for troops

#

But still follow your advice on behavior for the thallax

A RG Praevian can join the Domitar to confer PE (IC) or they can join the Thanatar and conver night vision

Yeah i definitely don’t need Brethren of iron then

The forge lord can also join them for that matter. But I like using a jump forgelord as a saboteur

Then the dark furies are there to cut up big blobs of 3+ enemies

Makes sense

if you run mech allies, you also wouldnt have any heavy units that are starting on the board in your RG detachment, which means you could use a recon company as well and get a few recon marine units in there

I know people may have discussed this but concerning Corvus Corax's fighting style, what does it mean for "At the beginning of each assault phase?

#

Does that include the opponent assault phase?

Thanks
