Ok. So here is a list that I've messed around with for some late Heresy chaos shenanigans based around the possibility of getting a Cerberus and using a Decimator that just got rules

Herald lives with the Sunkillers
Praevian lives with the Decimator (listed as a dreadnaught with same points value, not available on my app yet).
Tech marine lives with the Cerberus

...might be an army with deep striking, or maybe they just run across the board.

Feedback into whether it's a balanced list whilst also being fluffy

Phoenix Guard aren't really all that great, a normal squad would be better & can actually kill things

Why put a Herald with the sunkillers, just to make then line?

Also i would make the assault marine squads 15 instead of 10. They are struggle to kill anything other than tacs unless the outnumber what they are fighting

I'd say a chappy would be better with the Palatine instead of the Herald with the Sunkillers

also if youve got 10 sun killers (imo 8 is a better number, as 10 is usually overkill on anything short of a spartan, and well why are you shooting sun killers at a spartan)

8 kills a land raider, pretty sure still ohkos a contemptor, and while a leviathan will live past a round thats something your sky hunters can finish

breachers are weirdly not durable enough to warrant their higher points cost, so unless you REALLY need slightly more durable tacticals (and idk why you would, point per durability theyre worse then tacticals) so unless youre going full theming idk why youd run them

that said I still plan on making 2x15 for ZM exclusively for said theming

Here's an amended version.

  • herald is now flying with palatine blades
  • breachers are gone in exchange for 15 man assault squads with apothecaries

So my main question with this now is surgical augments on all my units. Is it worth it or should I cut some for a squad of tacticals?

sonic lances are a good upgrade if you already have the shreiker on a character, but on squads of 5-6 id skip on it
