My biggest concern is if this list goes too far? What do y'all think?

Depends on you local meta, ngl

The list is indeed on the stronger end of the spectrum, from an objective standpoint.

2x10 recons w/ nemesis will force characters to keep their heads down or lament not wearing a helmet. That, or they'll get bogged down in sniper duels all game.

2x Double las contemptors is a good way to threaten most vehicles short of AV14. Though between them, the Land Raider Lascannons, and the Predators, enemy armor won't be much of a problem.

2x10 Warders in Land Raiders is certainly one expensive way to deliver your melee up the field. It'll likely survive, though, unless you get hammered by the IW or an IH-grav list.

#

Best advice I can give atm is to think about your local and ask yourself if those players have ready answers to your list. They don't have to be the best answers, mind, but do they have a realistic chance of interacting with what you've brought?

#

Notably you're not spamming Warders, your HSS lacks a transport, and your dreads both lack melee and a helical. So it's not exactly the most abusive list out there

…oh god…

#

jokes aside it’s pretty balanced as far as SG lists go

#

The recons are a bit much though.

It is, at least, only two squads. So two enemy squads per turn lose their characters, depending on how hot the dice are with respect to Rending/Armor/Invuln/FnP/Shrouded

And yeah I tried to bring good unit options but at the same time take a few of the sharper teeth away

Aside from limiting their squad size to 10 (something you'd want to do anyway, Warders are expensive), the Land Raiders actually increase their efficacy. LRs have a 12" move for getting them where they need to be, which is increased to an effective 13" move (6" transport move, 7" disembark) when they get out. As an assault vehicle, they can charge out of it

#

Granted, a smart opponent will try to crack those LRs early and use Hold the Line to shut off Rann's warlord trait (as well as the rest of your charge bonuses)

#

I guess because ideally you would rather be charged than to make a charge?

#

With Rann, it actually doesn't matter who does the charging since you get the +1WS either way

#

Though I've also seen Warders just walk up the board with an apothecary in Stone Gauntlet and shrug off most weapons

#

Granted, unless this is going to be something that you're buying, I'd suggest trying the list once or twice, perhaps via TTS or proxy if you don't have the models, to get a feel for how the list works.

As I've said, your list is on the stronger end. However, it's hardly in the realm of super abusive and irredeemable. You'll just need to avoid making super optimal plays unless your opponent's list is equally as strong and/or the dice decide that you're starting to lose.

Those sniper squads are strong. 20 nemesis bolters hitting on 2s is going to force a lot of models of your choosing to suffer sudden onset cranial fracture. However, you don't have to choose the best possible targets. Sure, knock out squad sgts and special weapons carriers, why not? But don't deliberately gun for the opposing warlord or support characters unless you need the boost to maintain momentum.

You've got plenty of Lascannons in the list, but there's no need to rush down all the opponent's anti-tank fire or crack their warlord's transport in the first turn. Simple choices like this, to spread out your attacks instead of focusing units down, can help to keep the pace and feel of the game more friendly regardless of how strong your list is

#

You probably already knew all of that, ofc 😅

#

If you've got the models, give the list a run or two. Worst case scenario is that you have an oppressively good day at the club and you don't bring the list again
