Hello everyone I have recently played 2 games using a similar list (with veterans instead of warders) but I am making the switch. I wanted to know people's general thoughts and more specifically if I should use huscarls or tartaros or maybe a different unit for my distraction carnifex. I currently have it set up this way so in a 3k game I can add Dorn to the spartan squad. Any help/comments would be appreciated!

Ok a few things:

Swap out the Spartan TL-HB for Las if possible, you definitely more anti armor.

Your Contemptor is good but it should be running Las/Fist, Kheres/Fist/IAC, or Fist/Chainfist/2x IAC because 2x Kheres is nowhere near as good as it used to be since we now have easy access to IAC and you almost always want to be able to punch face with your Dread. I vote Las since you need the anti-tank.

Your Warders need either Melta or Plasma very badly, plus your Sergeants should be taking Solarites if possible as they’ll struggle with armor or ID’ing anything.

Love the Venator, but you’re screwing yourself with Las sponsons; the main gun is Ordnance and they’ll be forced to Snapfire every turn; drop them back to Heavy Bolters to love yourself.

Lastly it’s a matter of preference, but you might feel better running 10 Huscarls with the same loadout, and while they’re a little pricier, their rules are better and they can be a Retinue for your Praetor.
