Only concern is long ranged at, them rhinos get popped your anti tank has a long way to walk

Agree it’s one of the many weaknesses of running Salamanders in my opinion. They are my favorite legion. But they are pretty underwhelming this edition.

It's not all bad, they have some legs. Not to invalidate their flaws, just to reignite the love for them

I like the list. Would you split the pyroclasts into 4 squads as to not overlap the flame templates? Or is that not a problem? I have never run them.

You want the bodies. 5 even with a 2+ die to easily. I have only ever fired the flamer template once. With the over abundance of Heavy sun type it almost never wounds things. I use them as dread/vehical killers any they hold objectives extremely well. I’ll try a game with them split. I only have 3 rhinos tho so one will have to be on foot. I’ll let you know. I’ll drop the Scorpius for a game.

you champion get a Paragon blade for free.
Pyrocasters become troops in CoF RoW, id be tempted to give the sargent a TH or PF as a few extra attacks is better than one meltabomb.
I'd possibly drop the whirlwind and swap volkite to multi-melta and take a Termite for them.

Volkite is the cheap option that can reach out and touch. That why they have all the upgrade to ignore night fighting. Snap firing multimelts a lot of the time doesn’t seem as good. I know pyroclast become troops but battlescribe doesn’t do that yet. I did have PF on Sargents but need the points other places. I thought about dropping the Scorpius several times it has come in handy a lot tho. But if I do (only real thing I could change.) I would add upgrades to Sargents for the most part. The paragon blade is free, yes. I’m building this as a night fighting list. Mostly because I play against a lot of las cannons.
