Hi everyone,
I’m Gabe, and I’ve come to realize that I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to pursue all of the things that I love, and it was Mike's content that inspired me to actually go for it. I’ve always admired Atomic Shrimp’s ability to create a multi-niche channel that’s engaging, sustainable, and well-loved by its audience. I’d love to hear some insight from Mike or anyone in this community with experience in multi-niche content.
Here’s a bit about my situation:
I’m very passionate about real estate, aviation, and content creation. The three main things in my life that I really love. I like talking and have an expressive/ outgoing personality.
I’m currently building a career as a real estate agent but I am also a licensed private pilot (small airplanes, don't/ can't make money off of this).
My content idea involves combining these passions by documenting my growth in both fields while keeping room for creative, fun, or experimental videos—essentially sharing whatever excites me at the time. And any other topics I want as well.
However, I’ve noticed that many creators advise against multi-niche channels, suggesting it’s harder to grow and attract consistent viewers when your content doesn’t fit into a single, focused category.
My main questions are:
1. How can I make a multi-niche channel sustainable and appealing to viewers?
2. How do you approach balancing what you want to create with what you think your audience wants to see?
3. What advice would you give to someone trying to build a channel where the "niche" is more about the personality and storytelling than any specific topic?
I’d appreciate any thoughts, insights, or examples from Mike or anyone else who’s been in this position. I really admire the way Atomic Shrimp balances different types of content, and I’d love to learn how to make my own creative ideas work!
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this! Looking forward to hearing your advice.
Best,
Gabe
