#Design Flaw: The Game Encourages You NOT to Play

Trying to do something very basic: Upgrade my loom.

Finally found a Infernal Ledger, but needed an Iron Gear to upgrade the Loom. So I have to do the entire loop over barter conversions to get it to an Iron Gear.

Infernal Ledger-> Storehouse Plans
Storehouse Plans-> Ash Bucket
Ash Bucket-> Copper Pot
Copper Pot-> Leather Cutter
Leather Cutter-> Steel Tongs
Steel Tongs-> Iron Gear

And each one of those required buying and re-buying more Glint Dust to do each step. So when I finally have the part I need to finally upgrade my Loom, I now am one short on Glint Dust to do the Loom Upgrade.

So I go back to the Treasurer to buy Glint Dust and he's sold out now (because of all the conversions above requiring Glint Dust) and he's not going to restock until 8 hours from now.

So that's ZERO progression in the game for the next 8 hours. It literally encourages you to log out.

That's not very engaging and that's NOT how you keep a player base.

Couldnt you have just went and looked for more lodge items? Especially something easier to barter with than going from infernal ledger alll the way to iron gear? They could def increase the amount of glint dust you can buy (and or drop rates on the maps because they are super rare) but it also seems like you took the absolute worst route to try to upgrade your loom

I don't even bother picking up Infernal Ledgers & Storehouse Plans up anymore, as they take to much glint to convert to anything useful

Seems like it is encouraging you to actually play and go out there and find the things you need, instead of just using the barter system to get them.

I think glint dust should be infinite supply, I’m overstocked on skeleton keys and can’t keep up with the glint dust to convert them to treasure keys….. it needs 3 per key

#

So I can craft 2-3 per 12h

#

Glint dust is a unnecessary bottleneck

#

Would save an enourmous amount of bank space all those darn skull keys

if it is in unlimited supply there would be no need for us to look for lodge upgrades we would simply be able to turn anything into anything. At some point either you wait or you toss the keys. I have 40 treasure keys atm and i'm just disenchanting any other skull keys i find.

Finding the upgrades is very RNG, I don’t think it would be game breaking to make it infinite supply

#

I got 60 skele keys in my bank but 2 dust why bottleneck it?

#

I’d love to re-purpose the bank space

it would be better if skele and extraction keys were ephemeral
