Got on today and all things i had in mailbox are gone . i wasn't aware of there being a time limit on receiving your items from mail . it would make sense to me if per item deleted over time but everything is gone at once . any help ?

Had same thing happen to me a week or two ago, had a nice collection of every single twitch drop there was, unopened (except for the emerald ripper skin), and at some point all of them disappeared at once from the mailbox

Had the same thing, I'm pretty sure in my case it was a game crash (or the relog after that) that cleared it
