I support this! Bought the game a few days ago and i am hooked. I love that the pve can already be challenging, and it is totally fine with me that pvp success is tied to practice. However, i think it might be helpful to level the playing field (to some extent!). As an example: limit starter map to green gear. You could still find blue equip but that advantage might only last those 30 mins. Other than that, skill/knowledge will make the difference and might help with new Player experience and retention. Gearstomping is just not fun and by this way, you are incentivised to bring, e.g., green to the first map to have (at least) no gear-disadvantage. This will make balancing around easier and the rest will come down to practice.
This! Sometimes when pop is low i play Greenwood day to face other people. I come with blue gear (cause thats what im usually wearing) and its simply not fun. Not fun for me, not fun for people i fight. I do alway res people i kill this way, but anyway its unfun.
