Personally I really hate the luck factor of looting extended into the stats of your items. Could you share your philosophy on how the team feels about random modifiers on gear? Currently all gear gives the same # of stats with the variation being weapon dmg and stats being determined by the rarity which I find to be a really good system.

I really dig stuff like this as well. I know that some of the rings, like the ring of health, has a chance to be +120 health for a rarer version of the green ring, which I really like. Something like this on armor and weapons could feel really good, even if they are just slightly higher or lower.
