Weird, are you using any integrations? It is possible that it is a bug, you could try creating a minimal reproduction of the bug using a completely new template at https://astro.new

Don’t be sorry we are all learning together, opening a local index.html in your browser is different than serving it from a server. Honestly I am not sure why this would be happening but if you create a minimal reproduction definitely link it here and Ill take a look
