I was thinking about how I can explain it:
So Feather servers only open 1 port (because of infrastructure/money reasons)

Geyser is a bridge between java and bedrock and needs to listen to both ports:

1. The Java port (usually something like 25565) – this is for Java Edition players
2. The Bedrock port (typically 19132)
   this is for Bedrock Edition players

But because Feather only supports 1 port it doesn't work and won't work with Feather servers.

(If this is not correct feel free to correct me)
