#Should the Mobile Experience of Viewing Art in Galleries be Improved?
5 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Hello @cyan vector , I have just send a message to @safe sphinx . We need this solution for our work. And also our images are distorced. We don´t know what to do anymore. Tried different ways but nothing worked.
Hi @cyan vector ! Thank you for the video & your example.
In your example image, would the "View" button present the image full screen?
I am not much of a UI/UX designer either, so my way of thinking about this would be: what would I prefer as a viewer and what would I prefer if that was my art in the images?
For me the answer to both is the same: I want to see something similar to what you've shared in your example: I want to see the image and its text, side by side. Because, as an artist (or photographer), each of my images has a story, but I also want the viewer to be able to see the image in its full glory.
I'm curious if either of you have any other feedback regarding how this UI/UX could be improved?
@safe sphinx at the moment the View button just takes you to a URL that you specify in the info panel UI, its rather oddly named tbh since it implies you'd go the image but its rarely the case you do!
@cyan vector s points about the fullscreen is true on Web too, if there is a info panel set then when you click on the magnifying glass nearly half the screen can be lost to the side panel. Its not too bad when you have a huge 4k monitor but on smaller laptop screens it can actually make the image smaller on screen than in the space!
Im not quite sure what the best flow here would be as I quite like how the info panel looks on a big monitor, but maybe on smaller screens the Mag Glass could full screen the image and then give the option of showing the information like description & links etc
Sorry I only saw your message today! That really was a great new Sercan! Thanks and congrats! unfortunatly the cracked images aren't solved yet and that is as important as the visible text. Hope you can solve this too because our hole startup project depends on it. Fingers crossed for a quick solution. 🤞🏻
