I played against a player and it says that I lost the second battle but when I replay it I actually won it, and no i did not run out of time, there was plenty of time left. Not sure why this happened, but this wasn’t the first time. I took a screen recording of the second fight.

Yes, the game takes as "real" only the battles done in live, while when watching the log replays could differ and show different outcomes

Simply put: ignore the rewatches.
If you want to see the actual fight, dont skip it after attacking.
