Include a description of Twos Complement Negative Numbers on the "Negative Numbers" manual page.
Currently this page only refers to "The way you discovered..." and provides no detail on how they work. Instead it discusses other systems like Ones Complement and base -2.
This forces the player to recall either level logs or the end text of the level "Negative Numbers" (I think that where it is) or look up some external resource.

also I get what it says but "only exactly" sounds a bit weird to me

I remembered that there's a diagram where a circle is broken up into 8 slices to demonstrate how a 3bit 2's complement addition works. This may be quite helpful
