#[SPOILERS] after final level... (content request)

after finishing the final level "water world", it would be cool to see a final word from the alien overlord (especially after hearing all of his jokes and satire on each level)
This would be a fairly low priority request, but I think it would be cool.
I made a mock up, see the pictures.
Perhaps it could also be accompanied with some spooky 8-bit style tunes. like "Lavender Town Theme"

I like the idea of having some sort of closing remarks, but wouldn't want to see anything that suggests the game is "done" at that point - finishing the levels is just the beginning! High(low?) score hunting, sandbox mode, custom community levels (eventually) and.. whatever else people dream up to do with it 🙂

obviously you can continue with the things that you have listed, but I don't think they will include the overlord at the start

I like this idea! I agree that there should be something, not sure if it should come after WW specifically or after you beat all the levels (maybe two different messages for both?) but like altrag says, it shouldn’t be a final-sounding goodbye

There are plans to extend the campaign at some point

With custom levels the game will be open ended, but player achievements need to be celebrated in some way and there should be a clear distinction between base game content/ mandatory campaign and third party content (maybe a different background / color / music theme ?)

#

Also the scoring competition contribute to the "replayability" of the title. Maybe the closing remarks could include some challenge and vary according to the player score.

#

At some point a level completion should run the credits screen. In the credit run the custom level system could be introduced and the player challenged to contribute content / translations/ etc.

well third party content likely won't be on the main map (mostly because where would you put stuff? cant just let users throw things in anywhere or there will immediately be conflicts)

#

so that should be a pretty big notice right off the top

aside from "good" being pretty subjective, that still fails at solving the volume problem.. there's a lot of us and only one map (and only one Stuffe for that matter)

Well, how custom levels will work in general is completly irrelevant for this FR, right?

#

So I was only talking about the stuff relevant for this FR

pallid lichen
#

only tangentially.. my original suggestion was not to phrase any WW completion text to sound final / game over.. because its not.. all the discussion beyond that (including referring to custom levels) is just examples of things to do after the game's main story mode (if you want to call it that) is completed

#

that becomes even more relevant if there are levels explicitly added to the map after WW (making it very obvious that its not the end - and much less obvious that it was supposed to be the end in some prior version of the game)

#

whether those post-WW levels are Stuffe-built or community built

#

but it just kicks the can down the road. The map will end eventually no matter how much is added, while the game only ends when you run out of creativity

I like this idea, and this does not need to be added to the very end of the game

#

Just like what Popcap did, roll the credits at the midway where the storyline (somehow) reaches its climax

#

And after that you unlock more minigames and challenge levels

#

We can do this when we are about to introduce LEG as that is a new start

#

I like the idea of 8-bit tunes too. I would be excited to hear something elongated & recomposed from the machine dances.

#

I recall it was 3 am when I finished the RNG level, and that was before BGMs were introduced into the game, so it was the first time I heard some music in this game

#

And that gave me some impressions of the dropping of the curtain, with lights & musics, and a robot on the stage, just at midnight
