Other things to note,

the battery was disconnected from the drone when I found it.
The drone hit the ground face first based on all the mud etc on the front motors & props BUT it's the back right motor that's having issues
I've just swapped the motor bells around from a working motor and the faulty one, basically the same behavior the motor jitters etc

went funny crashed.. now 1 motor making noises and not spinning hot bell

Resoldered the motor, same behavior. Going to swap the motor out

Still keen to understand exactly what's causing this to reduce the chance my drone flips out mid flight again

any way of verifying? multimeter on the motor outputs while spinning it up in betaflight?

Some of the pads might look shorted in the last pic after I desoldered the wires

How is the ESC the majority cost !?! I thought the flight controller would require the lion's share of the component cost
