I think the model should not be wasted, i think the elite fighter should be the Specialized unit of the Sol Airforce, maximum of 5 can be spawned and they have much stronger armor and damage than the normal fighters, they should also have the ability to scan surrounding area of 25 meters for enemy signals every 2 minutes for no abuse, and there should not be a centauri detection since centauri are like the Sol, there should only be alien detection and balterium detection and it should cost 250 balterium to detect and 5000 balterium for the fighter itself

1,000 balterium for the elite fighter would be the cheapest air unit in the game, the gunship is 1,800

While it's fun to fly, I don't think it fits in with the rest of the air units all that well
