Regarding the NPC crew, what jobs will the department heads have in each department? Dan mentioned on stream that NPC’s will automatically perform tasks related to their department (for example, engineering NPC’s will fix problems with the ship). So how do the department heads factor in to that equation? What separates the chief engineer from other NPC’s in the engineering department? Similarly, what separates the chief science officer from rank and file scientists, etc?
