I think I would need more context for this. I have been using Midi-Inputs (from controllers and virtual network through RPC) for many hours, without problems.

Have you tried Settings -> Midi -> Rescane MidiDevices?

my apc40 mk1 drops sometimes.. but in everything.. ?? hope it helps? lol
