But I do agree that they could add more in depth features for the Ops themselves.
I also think introducing more layered and dynamic mission objectives. For example, players could first gather intelligence that leads to a High Value Target (HVT). Rather than rushing straight in, they could conduct reconnaissance to assess enemy strength and layout, then formulate a strategic plan.
Going even further, adding an optional safe house or secret Forward Operating Base (FOB) within the mission area would allow operators to return, regroup, reassess the situation, and adjust their plan in real time — all without breaking immersion by exfiling back to the main menu or briefing room. This would keep the entire operation fluid and continuous.
Importantly, all of these additional features (extra objectives, recon, and the safe house/FOB) should be entirely optional. This way, players who prefer a straightforward infil-kill-exfil experience can jump straight into the action, while those seeking deeper, more immersive gameplay have the choice to engage with the full process.
While I understand this could present technical challenges for the developers, implementing these features as optional modules would introduce something genuinely fresh and unique to the milsim genre, offering greater replay-ability and authenticity.
