Updated to the new hotfix, and cannot launch the game anymore. Tried the fixes that Vector suggested, including reinstalling the game. No dice. Dead in the water.

Except i cant even install the update

It gives me the "content file locked" error and cant install

Have you tried restarting pc?

Hard error to diagnose and fix unfortunately and is per pc

honestly I just uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and it fixed itself. I don't know if anyone else is having the same issue though. Thanks for reaching out too. You guys are amazing at what you do and really appreciate the time and dedication you put into this game!

Ive got the fix.

Sorry, I didn't put it here before. Apparently this has happened with other Steam games. Even if Windows defender is turned off, there is a setting under App & Browser Control......called Smart App Control, make sure this is turned off!
